Cognex has CC-Link In-Sight

In-Sight Micro Series – The world’s smallest all-in-one vision systems

Cognex In-Sight® vision systems are unmatched in their ability to inspect, identify and guide parts. These self-contained, industrial grade vision systems combine a library of advanced vision tools with high-speed image acquisition and processing. Configuring and deploying an In-Sight vision system has never been easier now that CC-Link has been added to Cognex Connect.

Cognex Connect includes support for CC-Link and other major open-standard Industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus communications protocols enabling trouble-free connection to PLCs and a wide range of automation devices from Mitsubishi Electric, Rockwell Automation;  Siemens Automation and other manufacturers.

The In-Sight family includes the Micro Series – The world’s smallest all-in-one vision systems also deliver world-class performance, and the top selling In-Sight 5000 Series- Providing users with unprecedented vision power and extreme ruggedness.  Together they are helping thousands of manufacturers around the world improve productivity, ensure product quality and lower manufacturing costs.

An I/O Breakout Module provides easy connection of In-Sight systems to power, acquisition triggers, outputs, and serial devices. I/O Expansion Modules increase the number of I/O points available to In-Sight systems, and provide full RS232 handshaking. The module combines a CC-Link interface, PoE injector, eight discrete inputs and outputs, and Ethernet and serial communication ports in one low-cost device.

In-Sight is supported by a wide range of easy to use configuration and communication tools including: EasyBuilder program free configuration software with CC-Link tools; Cognex Connect communications suite; The VisionView operator display panels, and the Cognex vision tool application library.

Features

  • CC-Link interface enables In-Sight vision systems to communicate directly with Mitsubishi PLCs without requiring ladder logic
  • Power over Ethernet port provides communications and power to the In-Sight Micro vision system, via a built-in PoE injector. (User supplies 24 VDC to the I/O module.)
  • Eight discrete inputs and eight discrete outputs support either NPN or PNP connections.
  • Wiring terminals for the trigger and two high speed outputs are available
  • Standard RJ45 Ethernet port to connect the In-Sight Micro vision system to a programmer’s PC or a network.
  • RS-232 port for serial communications (hardware handshaking supported).
  • DIN rail mountable
  • LED status indicators for all I/O and module status
